Fly Times: Wu Tang Clan ain’t nothin’ to EF with

Posted by Societys Disease on November 11, 2010 – 8:00 am

There are not many hip hop acts out there who have created their own world and stayed true to their train of thought and style throughout the years. Most rappers jump on passing trends and adapt their music to the times in order to sell records, but Wu Tang Clan have been staying true to their identity since 1993. Never will you hear a Dirty South Wu Tang track or have some autotuned T-Pain shit on a chorus over a RZA production. The Wu stays grimy, street and real… just like our man Killa EF. It’s no surprise that they’ve influenced a big part of Killa EF’s lifestyle, along with many others out there in the world, as they have created a strong following, who has appropriated the Wu culture and made it their own.

To me, Killa EF is the rebirth of the Ol’ Dirty Bastard, but white, with a penchant for graffiti and living in the streets of Montreal. His voice is as particular as ODB’s, he’s as rowdy as ODB and he probably drinks more than ODB. He breathes and bleeds the blood of a Killa Bee and probably has more knowledge on the Wu than anyone I know. I remember meeting him up to take the bus to the Wu Tang Show a couple of summers back; homeboy had a Wu Wear beanie, Wu Wear winter goose jacket and classic wallabees on. It was probably 30 degrees and in the middle of June… no sweat. There was so much dedication and passion for Wu Tang in his allure that I thought the bus would pull up looking all tagged up and full of mooks like it came out of Meth’s Bring the Pain video.

Mook-Life connected with Killa EF today so that he could comment on his collection, showing you his exclusive collectibles, accessories and clothing. Killa EF is not a number one fan nor a groupie, he’s the newest member of the Wu Tang Clan… they just don’t know it yet.

KILLA EF COMMENTS:

My Musical knowledge was always complex and supreme. I know much more about music than most of you DJ’s and producers out there. When i was born, my brain came with a hard drive and a printer. Being an OG mook, you know that I’m very open-minded. I listen to all kinds of music but I gotta say, my speciality is the Wu Tang darts.

On the strength, my Wu knowledge is more than complete. No questions asked, everyone in Montreal knows that. I can break down who’s rhyming on any track, who produced the joint,  in what year the song dropped, etc… I don’t even listen to all them played out 36 Chambers tracks anymore, I been through those chambers, dun. So much shit is still coming out today.  I rock Wu Wear in the name of the whole Wu Tang Killa Bee academy: WTC, Royal Fam, Killarmy, Sunz of Man, 4th Disciple, Allah Mathematics, La The Darkman, Killa Sin, Lord Superb, Solomon Childs, 9th Prince, Killah Priest, Shabazz the Disciple, WarCloud, Trife Da God, StreetLife, Bronze Nazareth, Hell Razah, etc…

Peace to GSM. My grimy State of Mind is stuck in the 90s. Ever since I’m 14 I been rocking baggy clothes and that Wu Wear is the perfect fit for me. Anybody that personally knows me a bit will know that i have no tolerance for tight pants whatsoever. So years went by, fashion changed, the mook kept it real regardless. This next post is brought to you by Mook-Life to demonstrate how deep I’m up in my Wu Wear game.

Yea, the room of a real mook. You know the deal.

Peace God. Peace to the Gods. How you, God? Studyin’ one-twenty right now. Mmmm. Call me back at the God Hour.

Oh yeah… I’d be on the grind, you know, rolling spliffs on the 369 Côte-Des-Neiges night bus, bitches cant stop staring at my Wu earrings. I feel that my ears are blessed with wisdom, so it’s only normal that I pimp ‘em.

How many W’s you see? I see 4.

Yeah, you know…Big Killa-EF. No doubt. Rocking Wild Styles, Wu Weared up from head to toes. Top Notch. That’s how we do!

ChEF is eating good. Getting my Salmon on.

Those ain’t shit stains by the way, pay attention, acknowledge that pale, hidden W.

Ok, I remember Maps bought this exact same Raekwon T-shirt before me, we both knew it. However, I couldn’t help it. We’re both big Raekwon fans, so like a real fucking mook, I secretly bought the same shirt without consulting my man and rocked it on special occasions when I knew in advance that he wouldn’t catch me with it that same night. Swag Fail! Ever since he found out, I never seen him rocking it again.

I’m dirty. I think those marker stains appeared right after the first week end i rocked them. That’s 100% Mook-Life.

Dart-throwing, aiming at your nostril. A few bangers right here, Raekwon tees with a pimped out sketch underneath. Over the stove like cuban links, cooking nothing else but that marvelous cocaine.

Ain’t no Clark’s over here, Wu Wear honeycomb-patterned Wallies. Do the knowledge, peep the Wu logo.  Definitely fresher than an old pair of chewed-up bowling shoes.

Killa-EF on the swarm.

Yeah…Clutching nothing but classic material, ya heard?

Aiiiiiiiggghhht… ok. Now you got a bunch of classics right here, feel me. From group projects to solo albums, from singles to mixtapes, there’s a lot to collect and my collection is far from being complete. The Wu foundation is infinite.  *Be sure to click on the image to enlarge it and do the knowledge to my CD collection.

Official Wu Wear, all my joints printed in 1995.

Being the mook that I am, no matter how hard I try to keep my exclusive Wu Wear joints clean, I always end up fucking them up with paint stains, from late night drunken tags on the block.

They stare at me. Approach me, represent right.

AZ kills RZA on this one IMO

  12. 12. Mercer Said:

I know motherfuckers are finna disagree but ODB is the best out of WU IMO, what he so called lacks in refinement and lyrics he makes up for 1000 fold in delevery and swagger. Probably one of the best of all time IMO.

    Rest in Power ODB
