It seems that February came and went in the blink of an eye. Although short in days, the second month of the year was a well-fulfilled rollercoaster ride of emotions and events. Spliff after blunt and beer after shooter, the Mook Life continued strong in 2011. We got hit with some of the biggest snow storms this winter, but the chilling was still in effect from Plaza St.Hubert bars to Plateau afterparties. While the Habs were trying to climb to the top of the division, most of us were out on these blocks climbing fences and evading the law. From metro station lounging to street-level lurking, the all-city chilleur status definitely hit another peak. The month finished off with Nuit Blanche, an all-nighter event where the city never sleeps, people run wild all night and the metro is open 24 hours. Needless to say, the vagabond genes kicked in for all Montrealers and binge drinking was well complimented with street tagging and general rowdiness. Alas, February was also a time for emotions as the whole city stood still and mourned the loss of one the greatest talents to come out of our streets, Bad News Brown. Rest in Peace to a legend.
It’s a long road in life, the year is still young and our hearts are still hungry for more. Without any further ado, here is the month of February through the eyes of your favorite mooks. Live Fast, Die Drunk.
Half the battle is fought. Winter is slowly dying, the days are getting longer and the sun is showing its face again. As the worst is behind us, we only anticipate the coming of warmer times and dive head first into the month of March. The Mook Life gets stronger as we march forward with our head held high into the year. See the grin on our faces, gleam in our eyes, paint on our fingers and both hands tied up with Heinekens and Philly blunts. The saga continues.

You have to go to the reserves to get twisted tea. Shit is mad expensive though. 21$ for a case of 6.
March 4th, 2011 at 12:07 am
Mohawks love twisted teas. I dont really see whats so good about them. Cheap 40′s anyday of the week.
Is that Mash on the res too?
March 4th, 2011 at 1:36 am
The fuck?? vous avez trouvé du 4loko à Montréal?
March 4th, 2011 at 2:07 am
And it’s not unheard of, Mohawks from Kahnawake somehow getting twisted teas for cheaper than usual…
But I wouldn’t know anything about that.
March 4th, 2011 at 2:55 am
The Mash was at the reserve. Mohawks shouldn’t even have to pay for alcohol or anything really. No justice on stolen land.

I think we are all waiting for Sunny Days …

Recognizing reserve style graffiti and tenement buildings is extended all city chilling knowledge.
Mook vacations don’t have to be in some far off land, a reserve can also be a good spot for a day trip, haha.
